The course was conducted on the 28th of February and lasted for a whole day for 6 hours about the basics of first aid and the optimal ways of responding and dealing with work place injuries or emergent medical cases from their time of occurrence till medical help is in place.
The training course witnessed discussion of the first aid relevant laws and the best practices in addition to an explanation to the procedures followed and the equipment necessary for the application of first aid.
The course was headed by Mr. Travis Knowles, Australian, who has progressive experience in Health & Safety Management, Leadership & Management Skills and Training & Development, Information Management with a prior military career of 7 years in the Royal Australian Navy. In addition to First Aid, Firefighting techniques, casualty evacuation and Emergency Scene Management. He also an expert in effective training operations, performance management of multi-cultural teams, safety compliance, customer services and staff management.
The trainees receive at the end of the course a completion certificate that is certified by Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), the government body in charge of the licensing and supervision of training institutes.
