The Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBWC) which was established as a key initiative of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) according to the ADCCI Board Decision No. (620) of 2001 which was promulgated by the Board of Directors of the Chamber with a view to strengthening ties with businesswomen communities at GCC, Arab and international levels and contribute to woman empowerment in business in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has organized the first annual Businesswomen Entrepreneurs and Mubdi’ah Programme Forum in the capital Abu Dhabi.
The forum represents an annual programme rife with seminars, open houses, and training courses aimed at shaping the technical and administrative skills of businesswomen, in addition to developing and disseminating awareness among the female citizens on the importance of self-employment and guiding them to the procedures of setting businesses and the legal requirements while focusing of small and medium businesses and the training of female citizens who wish to learn about investing in the stock market.
EMTI has participated by a senior delegation led by Wafa Mousa, Academic Director of EMTI, accompanied by some of EMTI personnel to learn about the chances of providing suitable training opportunities for woman and expanding their involvement and participation in business and professional spheres and a forum for dialogue and communication among women entrepreneurs in Abu Dhabi Emirate, strengthening their bonds, opening up new areas and roles for women, promoting their creativity, skill development and achievements, enhancing employment opportunities for women in various areas with a focus on economic sector, and providing the opportunity for women to express their opinions on relevant issues and discuss their problems1.
