Training Description
This one-day course is designed to provide participants with information relating to scaffolding systems that are presently being used in the construction industry. This course has been developed for industry as an awareness-level course, with no hands-on (end-user) component.
Training Objectives
Each attendee who will complete this training will gain the following outcomes:-
- Apply a basic knowledge on scaffolding erection dismantling awareness
- Describe the scaffold members and fittings used in scaffold construction
- Explain the terms used in scaffold construction
- List the common causes of accident from working with scaffolding.
- Outline the format of a scaffold inspection.
- Perform a scaffold inspection
- Practical build, inspect and disassemble a scaffold in a safe way (Erection & Inspection)
- Compile a scaffold inspection report, a remedial report and be fully confident in the use of the Scafftag system
Who should attend?
This course is designed for any personnel involved in Heavy Industry like Site Supervisors, Managers and people who are responsible for inspecting and Design of scaffolds.

Material given during the training: [DVD’s and Case Studies will be used during this course to illustrate examples of good and bad change implementation processes].
Before the course
Each delegate will be asked to complete a Pre-Course Assessment Form to determine their current level and objectives for attending the course. The content of such Form will be used by the trainer only to give tailored training that is focused on each group of delegates.
At the end of the course
Each delegate will be asked to complete an Individual Development Plan and Vocational Completion Certificate.
