Training Description

The training course aims to instruct OH&S auditors in the principles and practices specific to auditing for conformance with the national and international accepted norms and regulations relating to OH&S requirements.

This course is designed to enable participants to gain a practical knowledge of the OHSAS 18001 standard and health & safety system certification audits as per ISO 19011 and also to effectively participate in the implementation of requirements.

Training Objectives

Each attendee who will complete this training will gain the following outcomes:-

  • Describe the purpose of OH&S management system
  • Describe the scope of OH&S management system
  • Introduce risk assessment principles and processes
  • Enumerate the requirements of the BS OHSAS 18001: 2007
  • Plan and conduct an audit in line with relevant OH&S audit criteria ISO 19011
  • Discuss nonconformity and audit reports
  • Follow-up activities to develop audit skills

Who should attend?

This course is intended for those delegates who have prior knowledge of OH&S management systems standards and auditing. However, this is not mandatory as this course is intended for those who are relatively new to management systems auditing

Material given during the training:  [DVD’s and Case Studies will be used during this course to illustrate examples of good and bad change implementation processes].

Before the course

Each delegate will be asked to complete a Pre-Course Assessment Form to determine their current level and objectives for attending the course. The content of such Form will be used by the trainer only to give tailored training that is focused on each group of delegates.

At the end of the course

Each delegate will be asked to complete an Individual Development Plan and Vocational Completion Certificate.
